Typically, Eloy’s population during during the Cotton Boom, post WWII was 4500, however from September thru January during the cotton-picking season the population swelled to around 15,000. During the mid to late 40's, deputies were killed, crippled or scared off the job except for one, A.V. Queen. Hence one of the reasons why Eloy, Arizona had such a bad-ass reputation.

This edition includes the original stories as written back in the 1950's, plus never before published crime photographs, original newspaper articles, notes that were kept by A.V. in his trusty notebook along with childhood memories of an impressionable young boy who idolized his dad.
